This beast was a good two feet long or more. Unfortunately, it was also dead.
Today at the bark park. It appeared to be laying eggs right in the middle of the trail.
Hard work.

That snapper made me sad.
Hi Ed,
I've been out looking for turtles to sketch, but I've not seen them. Your photos make me feel determined. I'll head out again before the mosquitos take over.
I wonder how the snapping turtle died.
