Folk Ball 2008 has come and gone. Here's a video of The Reptile Palace Orchestra's first two numbers. I'm the guy in the hat on the right. First is "The Enchanted Reptile Palace" by RPO cellist and songwriter extraordinaire Seth Blair. Seth sings along with Anna Purnell. Second is a song the name of which, embarrasingly, I don't know, but folkdancers around the country refer to as "The Turkish Hora." The audio quality isn't great, but it captures the atmosphere pretty well. More about the whole event soon.

That looked like fun. I wish I had been there.
Dr. Monkey ... there's always next year! IF you can control your biting problem.
Waaaaahhh! This was the first year I've missed Folk Ball since we started going 11 years ago! It IS so much fun, Dr. Monkey, and I really wish I could've gone this year, too. I miss dancing. :-(
Well, Dr. Monkey, it's not too late to start planning for next year. You can be guaranteed floor space at the very minimum, and if you don't like sleeping on floors, there are beds to be had, if not in our house, certainly elsewhere in our network of friends. I guess I should find out the dates...
Suzy: If you can get away with biting, why can't the Doctor?
Cinderbelle: You were missed. Many people asked about you. Don't forget that there is a dance group that meets at the Pittsburgh Meeting house, I think on Tuesday nights. Bring your friends!
